Kallis Bengtsson (1969-)was born  and raised in Visby, Sweden..
His accordion carrier began at the early age of four.
Growing up he partisipated in many local talent contests on the island of Gotland with great success.

Kallis studied accordion at the community music school in Visby under Jan Ahlstöm. At the same time he even studied privately under Dolle Muthas.

At the age of 19 Kallis moved to Örebro to continue his studies.
He studied accordion and piano for 2 years at Kävesta- folkhögskola under Claes Åsenblad and Stefan Lindgren among others.

In 1991 he began his studies at Ingesundsmusikhögskola where he studied accordion under Börje Wessman and piano under Ann-Sofie Klingberg. He graduated in 1995 and received his masters degree as an accordion, piano and ensemble teacher.

Since graduation Kallis has worked as a free-lance musician and as a music teacher both privately and within the music school system.

During his carrier,Kallis has recived several scholarships including the Andrew Walter Scholarship, the Musicpelles scholarship, and a scholarship from the community of Arvika.

He has performed solo concerts throughout Sweden and Europe and been featured in several radio and television recordings.

Kallis is the initiative taker and the founder of a newly established private music school in Gothenburg which offers classes in accordion and piano. For more information on these courses click on the classes link at the bottom of the screen.

Kallis also works as a composer.
